Course Interpersonal Communication

This interpersonal communication course will be taught theoretically and practically. In theory, interpersonal communication courses will help students learn about effective interpersonal communication. How should we communicate? Does everyone communicate as we expect? How can good communication foster an effective and open personality? Techniques for dealing with interviews will also be studied, because if individuals are able to carry out effective personal communication then there is a big possibility of being able to lead to a successful life. All these questions will be studied in interpersonal communication and it is hoped that students will ultimately be able to apply the concepts of effective and ethical interpersonal communication. First, students will be given an explanation of the reasons why interpersonal communication is studied, what its function is and the purpose of this course. Next, students get enlightenment about building good relationships, maintaining relationships. Students will be given theories related to interpersonal communication, this theory is a basis that can be used as a reference for students when working on a thesis with a related theme. So after knowing the important reasons for studying interpersonal communication, students will explore the concept of effective interpersonal communication specifically, starting from how to be a good listener, conflict management, communication in intimate relationships, etc. In general, all the material provided is practice that they can directly apply in their daily lives. Apart from that, this course will provide a varied learning experience, apart from being carried out in class, students will also be invited to watch and analyze several interpersonal communications shown via video. And observe interpersonal communication patterns in public spaces and on social media. The results of student observations and analysis will be presented using PowerPoint. The learning method for this course uses an exploratory method, where students are invited to be proactive in exploring interpersonal communication concepts.
