Course Description
This course focuses on two things, namely: First, forming students‘ schemata about the basic concepts of organizational sociology. The formation of schemata begins with an overview of the history of the development of organizational sociology, objects of study, figures and their thoughts, theoretical perspectives, paradigms, research methods, and concepts in organizational sociology. Second, provide students with learning experiences applying the concepts of organizational sociology outlined in papers and presenting them using power point media. This course uses a case base learning approach
Program Objectives (PO)
- Mahasiswa mampu menganalisis secara logis dan kritis berbagai teori dan konsep sosiologi organisasi untuk menjelaskan dinamika organisasi dan hubungannya dengan lingkungan sosial.
- Evaluate organizational practices, policies, and responses to globalization and digital transformation to assess their effectiveness, inclusivity, and broader social impact
- Membuat laporan berbasis penelitian, proyek kolaboratif, dan keluaran inovatif yang memadukan teori dengan kasus organisasi dunia nyata dan mengusulkan solusi praktis.
Aktifitas Pembelajaran

Pertemuan 1 Tokoh (Weber, Taylor, Mayo, Foucault) dan membandingkan dengan teori kontemporer (neo-institusionalisme, teori jejaring). -
Pertemuan 2 Elemen organisasi (struktur, budaya, identitas) & hubungannya dengan konteks sosial-politik-ekonomi. -
Pertemuan 3 Relasi kuasa dengan teori Weber/Foucault dan menerapkan pada kasus nyata. -
Pertemuan 4 Menyusun laporan/artikel ilmiah berbasis penelitian sederhana atau studi literatur. -
Pertemuan 5 Membandingkan kelebihan & kelemahan serta dampak sosialnya. -
Pertemuan 6 Efektivitas & inklusivitas praktik organisasi berdasarkan teori organisasi. -
Pertemuan 7 Solusi dalam bentuk presentasi atau proposal. -
Pertemuan 8 Ujian Tengah Semester -
Pertemuan 9 Membandingkan teori klasik & kontemporer serta menilai keterbatasannya. -
Pertemuan 10 Solusi dengan isu pembangunan, pendidikan, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. -
Pertemuan 11 Menganalisis bagaimana budaya organisasi memengaruhi kinerja -
Pertemuan 12 Problematika organisasi kontemporer (misalnya digitalisasi kerja, budaya kerja startup, birokrasi publik). -
Pertemuan 13 Menyusun role-play/simulasi organisasi & strategi inovatif. -
Pertemuan 14 Teori dengan contoh kasus aktual (misalnya birokrasi pemerintah, startup, BUMN). -
Pertemuan 15 Mempresentasikan hasil kajian kasus organisasi -
